About Me

Justin is an Army Strategist and Goodpaster Scholar in his first year as a political science Ph.D. student at the University of Virginia. Previously, he earned a master's degree in Internal Public Policy at the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies and a B.S. in International Relations from the University States Military Academy. His areas of interest include security studies, military innovation, warfare, and emerging tech.

Justin has years of experience developing strategy, advising senior military and civilian officials, and conducting experiments to test new concepts, doctrine, and force structure. He most recently served as an assistant professor at the U.S. Army War College's Center for Strategic Leadership.

Justin serves as an associate editor for the Army War College's online journal, War Room. He served as the co-editor of a forthcoming book through the Marine Corps University Press and another research report through the U.S. Army War College Press. His work has been published in Small War and InsurgenciesDefence StudiesMilitary Review, War on the Rocksand Modern War Institute, amongst others.
